I have started my own little challenge where I am drawing animals as practice then scanning them and coloring in GIMP. The only issue is I have no idea where to start with coloration. To get to the point some of my questions include: How do I shade? How do i make it look more realistic? How do I color it as if the looks fuzzy? How do I add life like qualities to the eyes? How do I do a multicolored fur base? How do I make it look like fur? If anyone could help I'd really appreciate it!

Yeah, sorry I haven't been around life sucks. I will get those pix up plus some of me in a Victorian gown my friend is making as a birthday present.
lol how vain would I be if i posted pics of me... 'haunting' last year? I swore to my bf that I wouldn't because its best to keep as low profile these days as possible but there is so much crud on my face.. its sort of hard to tell sometimes what i really look like
